Your new role    
As a Senior Director, Pricing and Deal Development, you will be responsible to lead the price business case handling across affiliates in Europe and Canada (EUCAN), including international reference price (IRP) and parallel trade analytics. In addition, you will be responsible to develop and present strategic recommendations to the EUCAN Price Decision Group and to the IO-SO and HQ pricing teams. Moreover, you will contribute to the cross-functional Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) strategy development in close collaboration with other member of P&MA leadership team.  

  
Your Main Accountabilities will be to: 

  • Lead Pricing & Deal Development (P&DD) team and proactive contribute to broader strategic / leadership discussions in the Pricing & Market Access team.  
  • Effective and timely handling of affiliate deals and price business cases (PBCs)
  • Chair of EUCAN Pricing Decision Group
  • Orchestrate the regional planning and execution of the pricing strategies and action plans for all Novo Nordisk brands (including pipeline products)
  • Drive deal and contracting development and ensure execution in close collaboration with business development team and EUCAN affiliates
  • Lead the development and maintenance of pricing and contracting capabilities and analytics within the regional office and across the EUCAN affiliates

 

The role will be based in Ørestad, Copenhagen, Denmark and will report directly to the Head of Pricing & Market Access.

Your skills & qualifications
As a Sr. Director, you need to have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree within economics, finance, market access, health economics or similar. In addition, you need to have at least 7-9 years of experience within a pharmaceutical/biotech company or as a consultant within the life science industry. Moreover, you must be organized and motivated to deliver on projects, alone or with team, all the way from A to Z to improve patients’ access to Novo Nordisk’s innovative therapies. Previous Leadership experience is preferred. 


To be successful in this role, you should have: 

  • More than 5 years’ experience within pricing or market access
  • Strong leadership
  • Project management and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency with MS Office
