The Position

As a Medical Director Cardiometabolic Diseases, you will develop and drive medical- and scientific cardiovacular area strategy and priorities in Region NWE. You will lead and chair Region NWE’s medical leadership community within the cardiovascular area, ensuring close collaboration, sharing of information, and implementation of strategic priorities as well as individual affiliate support. You will also drive cross-functional collaboration, including leading the Region NWE cross-functional cardiovascular working group to secure that regional clinical needs are addressed in product development programmes and representing medical and scientific affairs in the cross-functional team with commercial and external affairs.

 

Furthermore, you will:

  • Represent Region NWE medical function and drive priorities for NWE in European/Global fora (internally and externally), as well as leadership meetings with professional associations, etc
  • Develop and nurture productive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including key opinion leaders, subject matter experts, professional associations
  • Collect and provide medical/scientific expertise within the cardiovascular  area in relevant fora to support relevant stakeholders
  • Practice independently with high level of empowerment and drive strategic medical/scientific initiatives for Region NWE, with direct and clear influence on course of actions and results

 

Qualifications

  • You are a Medical Doctor, and/or have an MSc or PhD within relevant scientific field
  • You hold business, medical affairs and leadership experience, ideally from a relevant therapy area 
  • You have a proven track record of project-based activity run successfully, and delivering initiatives and results
  • You have a patient and costumer centricity, and can prioritize strategically with a focus on what matters
  • You take pride in your personal leadership, and can through your excellent communication skills be both impactful and influence, as well as convey

 

About the Department

The Clinical, Medical & Regulatory (CMR) department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory. The position Medical Director Cardiometabolic Diseases is located in Ørestaden, Capital Region of Denmark, and reports to the Senior Cardiometabolic Medical Director.
