The position
As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and strategic counsel to Novo Nordisk Denmark while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal documents, developing and implementing solutions to new legisla-tion, and assisting in overseeing data privacy practices to safeguard sensitive information.
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Provide expert legal guidance to Novo Nordisk DK, ensuring alignment with business objec-tives and legal standards.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal documents, ensuring adherence to legal re-quirements and compliance with local and EU laws.
- Monitor legal regulations, develop and implement compliance programs, and provide train-ing to support adherence to legal obligations.
- Assist in developing strategic partnerships by conducting due diligence, risk assessments, and negotiating agreements.
- Assist in overseeing data privacy practices by developing and implementing policies to com-ply with regulations like GDPR and NIS2, and by conducting internal spot checks and risk as-sessments.
Qualifications
To be successful you need to have:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Law.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, focusing on strategic legal counsel and handling complex legal documents.
- Demonstrated strong skills in reviewing and drafting legal contracts.
- Experience working in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel, preferably in the pharmaceuti-cal industry.
- Experience in data privacy practices is an advantage but not required.
- Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide counsel aligned with the organization’s objectives.

As Legal Counsel, you will be a part of the Legal, Compliance & Quality team consisting of seven people covering the three areas Legal, Compliance and Quality, and you will report directly to the LCQ Sr. Director.
