The Position

The Head of Clinical Medical Engagement is responsible for facilitating the execution of Novo Nordisk clinical trials across the different therapeutic areas through a team of Clinical Medical Managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and retaining talent within the team of Clinical Medical Managers.
• Delivering medical training and internal scientific communication to guide the organisation in close collaboration with the Clinical
• Development Centre and ensuring strong alignment with the overall business needs.
• Facilitating identification of Key Opinion Leaders, investigators and research centres to build strategic relationships and collaborate closely key internal stakeholders during feasibility, allocation, recruitment and retention processes.
• Collecting and leveraging early medical insights to guide cross-functional decision-making across the value chain thereby contributing to delivering successful clinical trials.
• Maintaining a clear overview of priorities and focusing on value creation while ensuring operations comply with local regulations and the Novo Nordisk Way.

Qualifications

• MD PhD or PhD in healthcare with strong scientific and preferably clinical background.
• ≥5 years of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experienced people manager.
• Solid experience with human healthcare research either from university or pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and clinical development.
• Fluent in English, Danish is a nice to have.
• Profound communication and presentation skills required.

The Clinical Medical Engagement team is at the heart of Novo Nordisk’s mission to drive innovation in healthcare. Based in Denmark, the team operates in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and externally. The Clinical Medical Engagement team is part of the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) organisation and you will report directly to the VP CMR and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in patients’ lives.
