The Position

We are looking for a person with a passion for inspirational leadership, strong functional competencies, and a passion for improving processes using new technologies and smarter ways of working. You will be the leader of three full time employees and two students. The position offers great opportunities for functional and personal development while being part of a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry and direct access to the country Management Team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To actively drive business decisions by translating financial data as well as patient and market insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Leading a team that has the responsibility for financial planning and analysis, controlling, reporting as well as market analysis to capture business opportunities.
  • Actively partnering with line of business as a fundamental part of your approach to work.
  • Responsible for the annual strategy development process as a dedicated finance partner to the Management Team. The analytical decision material your team is responsible for will be used for identifying gaps as well as challenge the organisation to drive strong resource allocation across the business.
  • Having a thorough stakeholder management approach, consistent cross-functional collaboration, system expertise, sharp analyses, and ability to influence stakeholders will be your keys to success in this position. 

 

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you hold a relevant master's degree in business, finance, IT, statistics or any related field and prior experience with FP&A. You have outstanding analytical and coordinating skills combined with a strong Microsoft Excel expertise and a structured result-oriented approach to your task.

In addition, you have:                 

  • Solid understanding of accounting and possess strong commercial acumen.
  • Know how to be a valued business partner, and you take pride in noticing details and always taking your analysis one step further to support the business.
  • Pro-active attitude, high performing, business minded, and interested to initiate and drive projects that will positively impact our business.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages (written and spoken) will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g., SAP BO, Power BI) is an advantage.

 

About the Department

Business Finance & Analytics is part of the Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark and is a commercially oriented organisation. Business Finance & Analytics team is supporting the Danish sales affiliate with in-depth market analysis, budgeting, customer insights, supply chain and compliance. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, and the pace is high, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good-spirited atmosphere in the department.
