Your new role
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping Novo Nordisk’s commercial execution excellence — driving strategic initiatives, unlocking market potential, and ensuring our teams across international operations deliver at their best. You’ll combine sharp market insight with cross-functional leadership, to support key markets in their growth, while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and lead targeted market visits to identify new levers for GLP-1 growth.
- Consolidate, distil, and share actionable best practices to enhance cross-regional and cross-functional execution.
- Facilitate follow-ups and measure the outcomes of commercial initiatives post-implementation.
- Co-own and advance our global commercial execution excellence program, ensuring alignment across functions and markets.
- Support the commercial execution excellence team across all areas, including sales effectiveness.
- Promote a strong team spirit and foster knowledge sharing across the organisation.
Your new department
As a key driver of Novo Nordisk’s future growth, International Operations (IO) is the largest operational unit in Novo Nordisk and covers more than 190 countries and 95% of the world’s population. Around 430 million people are living with diabetes in these countries and an estimated 570 million live with obesity. We serve 25 million people each day living with chronic diseases. Novo Nordisk International Operations, Strategic Operations, is head quartered in Zürich, Switzerland.
Commercial Execution Excellence is anchored in the Cardiometabolic Marketing team and works closely with the regions and key IO markets to drive the growth of the GLP-1 portfolio.

For a position like this, international mobility within a time horizon of three years is a requirement.
Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially savvy leader with a strong track record of driving impact in complex, cross-functional environments. You’ll combine deep market insight with data-driven decision-making and the ability to inspire alignment across stakeholders to deliver measurable results.
What you will bring:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience across Marketing, Sales, or Commercial Effectiveness, with proven strategic impact.
- Strong commercial acumen and expertise in go-to-market strategies and resource allocation. Hands-on tactical experience in a market or region of advantage
- Exceptional stakeholder management, leadership, and cross-functional project delivery skills.
- Advanced analytical abilities to translate market and competitor data into actionable strategies.
