Your new role

As the Director for Region EUCAN Market Access, Obesity & MASH within the Region EUCAN Pricing & Market Access department, you will be sitting at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and patient affordability, going beyond traditional pricing and reimbursement to redefine how access is created across diverse payer systems.

 

Leading an outstanding team of three experts, this is a unique opportunity to shape market access at scale for some of the most transformative therapies in obesity and liver disease. With broad regional influence across EUCAN and high-visibility assets, you’ll set new standards for out-of-pocket mitigation, evidence-led access, and cross-sector collaboration.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Region EUCAN (Europe & Canada) Market Access strategy for the Obesity and MASH portfolios, ensuring alignment across markets and functions
  • Designing and implementing innovative out-of-pocket mitigation and affordability strategies to enable sustainable access for key assets
  • Developing tailored access approaches across public payers, private insurers, employer-sponsored plans, and self-pay channels, adapting to diverse healthcare systems
  • Shaping pricing and contracting frameworks, including outcomes-based agreements and novel public–private access models
  • Driving evidence generation initiatives (e.g. RWE studies and pilots) to demonstrate value and support reimbursement decisions
  • Engaging senior stakeholders across HTA bodies, payers, policymakers, patient groups, and professional societies to influence coverage and benefit design
  • Providing senior-level leadership and cross-functional coordination across Region EUCAN to maximize both patient impact and commercial value.

Region EUCAN Market Access, Obesity & MASH department develops and implements reimbursement, access and commercial strategies to ensure patients living with obesity and liver diseases can benefit from our therapies. Aligned with our purpose to improve patients’ lives, the team drives clinical, evidence and stakeholder initiatives, and engages colleagues across the organisation to lead change and secure sustainable access.

You will join Pricing & Market Access, where we support our stakeholders to solve various business challenges related to medicine pricing and affordability across various geographies across Region EUCAN.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are seeking a strategic, driven leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You excel in collaboration, influence diverse stakeholders with confidence, and maintain focus while balancing long-term vision with execution. You combine a strong value- and patient-centric mindset with everything you do. Also, you bring with you:

 

  • A degree (M.Sc. or PhD) in Health Economics, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field,
  • Extensive senior-level experience in market access in the pharmaceutical, biotech or consumer health industry. Experience in obesity, MASH or related cardiometabolic areas is a big advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex pricing, contracting, and out-of-pocket mitigation strategies across public and private payer settings
  • Deep expertise in international market access, with a proven track record of securing reimbursement and formulary access for high-value therapies
  • Demonstrated leadership in matrix and cross‑functional environments. Previous experience as people manager is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in spoken and written English and confidence engaging senior stakeholders

  • Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 1,034,790.00 y 1,593,550.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
    The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
  • Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
