The position

As Consumer Engagement Vice President, you will:

Develop and implement consumer engagement strategies aligned with Novo Nordisk’s objectives: Craft and execute integrated multi-channel consumer engagement strategies encompassing Media, A&I, Content, and Lifecycle Marketing. Aligning these strategies with portfolio and brand objectives, anchored in targeted KPIs.

Spearhead data-driven decision-making flow: Translate consumer data and insights into actionable hypotheses for the consumer strategy. Define audience segments, prioritise targets, design impactful activities, and identify key consumer touchpoints and channels to maximise therapy area and brand growth.

Frame digital media strategy development in collaboration with the IO FAST Content team: Define and champion media strategies tailored to specific consumer/patient segments and categories, as well as broader consumer audiences.

Drive consumer technology channel and platform launches, consumer segmentation analytics, and targeting to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Oversee and lead multiple commercial sub-functions, including consumer engagement strategy & insights, channels and platforms, and digital health partnerships.

Drive performance across sub-functions to achieve strategic goals and operational excellence in collaboration with International Operations HQ, regions and affiliates.

Implement performance measures aimed at improving patient lifetime value and utilise data-driven insights to optimise consumer engagement strategies and outcomes.

Build and maintain strategic B2B, B2C and B2B2C partnerships to enhance consumer engagement strategy and execution across IO.

Foster innovation and continuous improvement within consumer engagement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles, including oversight of multiple sub-functions such as sales, marketing, and operations, preferably from FMCG and Consumer Technology or Consumer Health industries.

Media Multi-Channel Expertise: 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of channels, including digital, social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and experiential marketing.

Experience in launching digital platforms reaching and engaging millions of end-users, preferably from the pharmaceutical and FMCG industries.

Proven track record in setting strategic direction and delivering results in a complex, matrixed environment.

Experience in building and leading high-performing teams and managing senior-level stakeholders.

An MBA, MSc, or equivalent, in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

 

About the department

You will join the IO FAST team, based in Ørestad, Copenhagen. The team is responsible for consumer engagement from strategy to content deployment and insights. We develop and activate branded and unbranded content for both Health Care Practitioners and Consumers. Our focus areas include consumer engagement and direct-to-customer channels/platforms, a central content engine, campaign engagement analytics, and digital non-selling consumer partnerships above region.

As a member of the IO FAST leadership team, you will lead a dynamic and innovative team of 16 people. The atmosphere in Ørestad is fast-paced and collaborative, with a shared commitment to driving impactful consumer engagement strategies.
