The finance department, called Business Finance & Analytics, in Novo Nordisk Denmark is now looking for an engaged and driven Business Finance Manager.
The Position
We are looking for a person with a passion for partnering across organisational functions, understanding sales drivers and market dynamics, performance reporting and generating actionable insights for the organisation. The position offers great opportunities for functional and personal development while being part of a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry.
Your tasks will be:
- Driving business decisions by translating financial data into business insights.
- Responsible for analysis linked to sales and market dynamics, budgeting as well as partnering with line of business.
- Managing internal monthly reporting, including monthly follow up on sales performance to the leadership team and relevant sales departments.
- Pro-active keeping and eye on sales forecasting based on dynamic market dynamics to support decision making.
- Preparing and presenting analyses to the affiliate Management Team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you have a Msc degree in finance, economics, statistics or any relevant field, coupled with a minimum of 4 yrs of working experience in a similar position, preferably within pharmaceutical industry. You are a valued business partner, and you take pride in noticing details and analysing one step further to support decision making for the business.
In addition, you have:
- Outstanding analytical and coordinating skills combined with a strong Microsoft Excel expertise and a structured result-oriented approach to your tasks
- Solid business understanding and strong commercial acumen

- Pro-active approach, high performing, business minded, and interested in initiating and driving projects that will positively impact our business
- A thorough stakeholder management approach, consistent cross-functional collaboration, system expertise, sharp analyses, and ability to influence stakeholders will be your keys to success in this position.
- Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages (written and spoken) will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
About the Department
The finance team, Business Finance & Analysis, is part of the Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark, based in Ørestaden, Copenhagen. The finance team is supporting the Danish and Icelandic sales affiliates with finance partnering incl. budgeting and sales and cost performance reporting, in-depth market analysis and supply chain. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, and the pace is high, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good-spirited atmosphere in the department.
