Lead one of the most significant strategic challenges in pharmaceutical history, as Novo Nordisk navigates the loss of exclusivity for semaglutide across Europe. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape how we balance business sustainability, patient access, and long-term value creation during a critical market transition.
Your new role
As the strategic integrator for semaglutide Loss of Exclusivity (LoE) across Europe, you'll be at the centre of decision-making that will define Novo Nordisk's competitive position for years to come. You'll translate complexity into clarity, align diverse stakeholders around a coherent strategy, and ensure we navigate this unprecedented transition with discipline and purpose.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the semaglutide Loss of Exclusivity strategic narrative across Europe, translating global ambition into locally relevant and executable frameworks across public, private, and cash markets
- Serving as the central coordination point across Market Access, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, Supply, and Communications to ensure aligned, timely decision-making
- Developing and refining Loss of Exclusivity scenarios, assumptions, and mitigation strategies, including volume, pricing, access, and supply considerations pre- and post- Loss of Exclusivity
- Representing the region in global and International Operations-led semaglutide Loss of Exclusivity forums, ensuring effective two-way communication and local relevance of global guidance
- Monitoring competitive intelligence on generic entry timing, regulatory progress, and competitive behaviour, translating insights into strategic implications for Europe planning
- Leading development of clear, compliant internal Loss of Exclusivity messaging, including leadership briefings, FAQs, and reactive statements that enable field teams to respond confidently
- Acting as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership on risk, opportunity, and trade-off decisions, proactively escalating issues and decision points
The role is based in Ørestad, Denmark.
Your new department

With us, you get the opportunity to join an international, high performing team having a broad variety of interactions with key stakeholders in the organization.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity, can build bridges across functions, and has the resilience to drive action even when the path isn't clear.
You'll bring:
- ~8+ years of experience in market access, public affairs, and/or commercial strategy within a regulated healthcare/pharmaceutical environment, with a proven ability to orchestrate cross-functional work and drive stakeholders to aligned decisions.
- Strong project and program management capability, including structured planning, governance, and effective delivery across multiple workstreams and dependencies.
- Advanced strategic and analytical capability to structure ambiguity and develop semaglutide Loss of Exclusivity scenarios, assumptions, and mitigation options across volume, pricing, access, and supply.
- Excellent internal stakeholder management and network-building, with the ability to connect the dots across the organization and secure alignment on unprecedented challenges.
- Executive communication strength—translating complexity into clear, compliant internal guidance and enabling confident, consistent field execution.
- Market insight and competitive intelligence mindset, with experience monitoring and interpreting generic entry timing, regulatory progress, and competitive behaviour to shape actionable Europe planning.
