If so, then we are looking for you to be our Cardiovascular Unit Lead!

 

This position will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

 

The position

As the cornerstone of the Medical Affairs department, the Cardiovascular Unit Lead oversees and directs all medical activities spanning cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and angiology. Leading a diverse team of inhouse Medical Advisors and field-based MSLM, they collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to strategize and implement impactful medical initiatives in CV specialties and therapies.

 

In this exciting new role, you will be the creative leader who drives innovation and improvements within the CV Unit while enhancing medical affairs capabilities, exploring new scientific concepts, and transitioning the affiliate into a cardiometabolic-focused organization.

 

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Manage the CV Unit, providing feedback and coaching, driving talent development, and ensuring alignment with the Metabolic unit. Additionally, represent the Swiss affiliate within the global Medical Affairs CV community, and provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional CV teams.
  • Developing and Implementing Strategy: Formulate and execute the medical affairs CV strategy to align with organizational objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Scientific Communication: Oversee the development and dissemination of scientific communications, including publications and presentations.
  • Evidence Generation and Education: Plan and execute evidence generation activities and deliver medical education and training programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

You have decided to apply for this exciting new position because you already have extensive medical affairs experience and an impressive scientific background on local/country level, preferably in Switzerland or similar markets. Ideally, you have experience in the Cardiometabolic / Cardiovascular space with a strong network.  You pride yourself with your exceptional team leadership skills and strategic future-oriented mindset.

 

Furthermore,

  • You hold a Medical degree (MD or equivalent) or an advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD).
  • Proficiency in German and English is required, with knowledge of local languages (French, Italian) as a plus.
  • Ideally, you have led teams before and are able to motivate and inspire.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
