About the department
The Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Department plays a crucial role in ensuring our organization complies with legal and business ethics requirements. We work as commercial business partners, offer legal counsel and support in various areas, including corporate law, tax, compliance, and intellectual property. Upholding ethical standards, safeguarding company operational license, taking calculated risk, and driving ethical mindset across the organization is our top priority. You'll report to the Head of LEC, Novo Nordisk Taiwan.

 

Key areas of responsibility:

Legal Activities:

  • Manage the statutory requirements of the legal entity (e.g. change in Board of Directors), maintain corporate licenses, and ensure corporate act and NN Global Approval & Singing principles are compliant.  Collaborate internally with other departments, Regional office and externally with government authority and legal counsel。
  • Manage and carry out process of company chops and contract signing process.  Provide trainings of relevant guidance and tools to various stakeholders
  • Assist in anti-counterfeit relevant measures; provide awareness training and work with local authorities, and Regional office

 

Compliance:

  • Assist in compliance monitoring to assess and mitigate relevant risks, collaborate closely with Finance for regular review of expense claims and check in regard to Compliance to SOPs, TW IRPMA Code
  • Support Local Legal & Compliance Head in global Business Ethics policy and process establishment/improvement and compliance awareness campaign; trainings; ethics mindset ambassador
  • Be the champaign in one of the key risk areas (i.e. HCP engagement, HCO, PR/PO process) to oversee the NN TW business practice in those risk areas; , interfacing with stakeholders across medical, compliance, legal
  • Build effective partnering relationships across the organization
  • Apply different auditing and monitoring approach to monitor the execution of compliance policy, e.g. field-audit, substantial testing, system walk through, and data analytical review

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a related field (Business/Marketing/Legal/Finance)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal field, MNC or pharma in-house experience in internal controls, process improvement, internal audit, compliance monitoring or risk management is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross internal functional teams.
  • Knowledge in regulations and laws, corporate process, with good communication skills and self-awareness
  • Proven working experience in key areas, such as company chop management, Board of Director / corporate registration, corporate law etc
  • Compliance / business ethics experience in terms of prevention (training) and detection (monitoring)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and can work collaboratively while conducting assigned tasks
  • Comfortable work in fast paced and environment with ambiguity
