The position 
We offer the opportunity to become part of one of our project teams and take part in the clinical development of new obesity products. We are looking for senior statisticians in the obesity early development project area, where we are currently planning several development programs. Consequently, we have several clinical studies both in conduct and in planning, and we are looking for senior statisticians who can contribute to clinical study development. 

 

You will mainly be responsible for:

  • give input to study planning, including responsibility for sample size calculations, definition of estimands and authoring the statistical analysis plan.
  • in collaboration with a statistical programmer, represent Biostatistics in a cross-functional study team (with data managers, medical doctors, safety surveillance advisers, and medical writers)
  • take an active role in evaluating clinical trial data, assessing the impact of data quality on the statistical analyses
  • explain statistical requirements and concepts to stakeholders e.g. medical doctors and trial managers
  • conduct the specified statistical analyses and interpret and report the trial results

 

Depending on your experience you will either drive or take part in statistical analyses of clinical trials. You will provide statistical input to protocols, take part in the study execution phase and reporting of studies as well as support colleagues working on other studies. Preparation for submission to health authorities as well as ad hoc requests to the clinical projects requiring statistical expertise from internal collaborators and health authorities will also be part of your tasks. 

  
Qualifications 
The core requirements to succeed in this position are:    
•    A strong background in mathematics and statistics corresponding to MSc level
•    3+ years of experience as a statistician or a PhD within clinical or biostatistical research
•    Experience with R, SAS or other programming languages
•    Demonstrated ability to drive projects as a proactive team member
•    Ability to drive progress autonomously and engage in proactive decision-making


It will be an advantage if you have experience with clinical pharmacology (PK/PD)

Our Biostatistics organisation consists of more than 400 people with the majority located in Denmark and India, and smaller teams in China, Japan, Spain, UK and US. Our scientific and programming work is primarily performed in-house, thus we offer a wide variety of tasks and challenges and provide a strong scientific community. 

Biostatistics is part of the larger Data Science organisation. Through data creation, collection, curation, and analysis we provide insights that contribute to the discovery and development of innovative healthcare solutions.
