The position
As the Global Pricing Senior Manager/Lead within cardiorenal diseases, you will be responsible for pricing topics related to some of the company’s pipeline within cardiovascular and renal diseases, including chronic kidney diseases and hypertension. You will develop pricing models to determine the pricing outlook and scenarios for our pipeline assets across a variety of cardiorenal indications to guide drug development and investment decisions.


Your primary role will involve developing pricing strategies for these products, generating insights to support patient access to care, and providing pricing insights and decision recommendations to our leadership team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with stakeholders across the value chain and to work alongside a team of pricing experts located in our Global offices in Søborg, Denmark, and in our Global Business Service unit in Bangalore, India.

 

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Plan and execute activities to inform the pricing strategy and outlook as well as the price forecast within cardiorenal diseases on time.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across market access, commercial, and operations to ensure the company's pricing strategies are in line with the organization's goals and aspirations.
  • Monitor and understand the external pricing landscape in strategic markets, incl. regulatory and competitor developments, and outline strategic options for the Novo Nordisk portfolio.
  • Support the rollout planning of the cardiorenal pipeline, including the analysis and handling of price business cases for strategic launch products following internal standard operating procedures. 
  • Advise the organization on pricing aspects related to drug development and business development activities within the therapy area.

 

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have at least 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, ideally with global or above-country operational pricing management experience and preferably also with experience from cardiorenal diseases. 


Furthermore, a successful candidate for this position should possess the following qualities and skills:

  • An M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in economics, health economics, business finance, or similar
  • Thorough understanding of the pricing and market access landscape in major global markets, such as the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China
  • Analytical abilities to estimate price elasticities, assess willingness to pay, evaluate portfolio dynamics, estimate opportunity costs, and determine financial implications
  • Experience in building pricing reports, dashboards, business case development, and analytics and scenario planning
  • Knowledge of cardiorenal diseases as well as pricing experience within the therapy area is advantageous
  • Individual leadership mindset and exceptional stakeholder management skills

 

As a person, you can effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders using spoken, written, and visual mediums. You act proactively in developing solutions to address future challenges and opportunities by effectively listening and reading the organization.
