The position
As a Data Steward, you will be part of a team of Customer Insights Managers who generate patient and prescriber insights for key brands in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and other therapeutic areas. Your role will involve working with multiple data sources containing billions of records to ensure a high level of data excellence and compliance. You will also be responsible for managing vendors and contracts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Managing data excellence projects to ensure high data quality
•    Ensuring compliance in data storage, usage, and access controls, including training and communication
•    Managing contracts and budgets, as well as vendor evaluation and follow-up
•    Building and improving coordination and collaboration on data purchases and usage across departments and functions
•    Collecting stakeholder input on data needs and investigating potential data purchases
•    Exploring data sources, understanding their coverage, and advising on usage
In this role, you will have diverse duties and will need to develop a fundamental comprehension of the systems used for storing and retrieving big data to support the users. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and across geographies.


Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to understand disease areas and their needs for analysis, allowing you to proactively explore new data sources that could bring additional insights. Additional requirements include:
•    A master’s degree in economics, science, IT, business, or a similar field
•    Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
•    Strong project and stakeholder management skills
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience within data We expect that you take strong ownership of your tasks, thrive in a dynamic and international environment, and bring a positive can-do attitude.

 

About The Department

The team is part of the Portfolio Insights & Forecasting department in Commercial Strategy and Corporate Affairs and focuses on analyzing anonymized patient/physician data and visualizing it for communication purposes. The purpose is to drive insights and recommendations that enable fact-based decision-making in senior management, brand teams, and other key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
