GLOBAL FORECASTING LEAD

The Position

As our Global Forecasting Lead you will be responsible for forecasting and market insight generation within commercial in HQ, while engaging in close interactions with affiliates / regions. You will be involved in cross-functional projects, communicating key insights and analyses to relevant stakeholders across the organisation to support strategic decision-making.

 

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the preparation of high-quality forecasts for key products on a regional and/or global level, including Long Term Forecast (LTF).
  • Lead the preparation of best-in-class market analyses including synthesizing multiple data sources to inform global strategies, as well as long-term market projections to senior management.
  • Impact key stakeholders and maintain strong partnership with them, which include partners in Corporate Strategy & Corporate Affairs, Regions, Top-10 affiliates, Finance and Product Supply, to ensure alignment and successful attainment of common targets.
  • Drive and optimise the key process or processes in the department, such as forecasting or guidance processes.
  • Responsible for forecasting sales across Diabetes and Obesity, as well as the broader product portfolio for one of Novo Nordisk’s sales regions.

 

Qualifications

  • Master´s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Economics, Analytics, among others.
  • 5+ years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry and/or consultancy for these companies, and working with LTF, is a must.
  • Proven track record in analytics project management, collaborating across organisations and cultures.
  • To have data analytics and python knowledge/experience will be a plus.
  • Fluent in English, and have high proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

About the Department

The Portfolio Insights & Forecasting team, in Portfolio Strategy, Access & Pricing, focuses on analysing market dynamics, identifying trends/events and forecasting market development across the product portfolio. The purpose is to drive insightful analyses and recommendations that enable fact-based decision making in senior management and among key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
