The Position

The Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory group at NNI is responsible for catalyzing Novo Nordisk's fundamental growth objectives via bespoke, evidence-based M&A advisory services. Reporting into the Senior Medical Director, M&A Scientific Advisory, the Medical Director, M&A Scientific Advisory serves as an M&A-focused scientific subject matter expert and is responsible for leading search & evaluation and in-depth analysis efforts across key M&A focus areas.

 

Relationships

Position reports to the Senior Medical Director, M&A Scientific Advisory.

 

Essential Functions

  • Support US-based search & evaluation efforts by independently identifying M&A opportunities in alignment with Novo Nordisk’s strategic vision
  • Lead M&A in-depth analysis efforts
  • Provide support and expert input into due diligence evaluations
  • Support external advisory engagements through peer-to-peer interactions, as needed
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements, clinical guidelines and current trends in medical practice
  • Remain in good standing with the medical community

Physical Requirements

20-30% overnight travel required.

 

Qualifications

  • MD required
  • Additional MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical and/or prior direct patient care experience required
  • Relevant experience includes:
    • Proven stakeholder management and networking skills
    • Cross-functional experience in multiple functional areas
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and engage stakeholders in a dynamic environment with tight timelines
    • Possess strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Possess superior communication skills, both oral, written and presentation, and ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
    • Uncompromising ethics and high standard of personal integrity

The base compensation range for this position is $225K to $300K. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. 

 

Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
