As a Product Specialist, you will be reporting to the Obesity Field Sales Manager.

 

The position
As leader of your territory, you will be in-charge of planning, developing, and implementing the business plan for your geographical area to ensure company objectives are achieved. You will measure, track, study, and present key metrics: prescription depth and breadth planning and reporting; effort analysis, and budget management including return on investment.  
In this role, you are expected to:

  • Contribute to the national business plan by achieving sales goals through the implementation of marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to healthcare practitioners.
  • Take an ambitious approach and you will be expected to operate with a high level of autonomy.
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of customer needs, anticipate and adapt action plans to maximize opportunities and address challenges, excelling in making things happen through diligent and timely follow-up.
  • Work across different external stakeholders including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional team working across the Obesity Business Unit and beyond to maximize the sales of Novo Nordisk products.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or business-related subject or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a track record based on exceptional commercial acumen and selling skills.
  • Having sales experience for an out-of-pocket or over-the-counter product is a plus.
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel); prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software is ideal.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to evaluate options and make decisions on your own with minimal supervision. Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
