What you will be doing?

As an Automation Engineering Lead at Novo Nordisk, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the evolution of our SCADA systems and automation processes. In a dynamic environment driven by the need for continuous improvement and innovation, your role will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our IT systems and automation equipment. Collaborating closely with various employee groups both internally and externally, you'll play a central role in driving technological advancements that directly impact our production processes. You will be part of a lead team and report directly to the Senior Manager for the organization.


You should be able to work out of our offices in Gentofte, Kirke Værløse and Kalundborg.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead technical networking for 8 Senior Automation Engineers, ensuring cohesive collaboration and support for all automation projects.
  • Set the technical direction for upgrade projects and test environment development across multiple sites.
  • Drive SCADA changes direction and support larger upgrade projects, including server and software setup, and test environment development for pre-testing.
  • Handle diverse and demanding tasks related to IT systems and automation equipment essential for production.
  • Play a central role in close dialogue with various employee groups, both internal and external, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

To be a strong candidate for this position, we have an idea that you will possess many to most of these:

  • +5 years of experience within automation
  • Solid experience with SCADA, PLC, HMI, and general automation of machine equipment
  • Knowledge of networks and servers
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Fluency in Danish and English

 

The Team waiting for you

DD & IT for PS BRD is responsible for IT and automation for the production sites. This responsibility spans across development and maintenance of local and global IT and automation solutions, infrastructure, compliance, and projects in collaboration with colleagues from global IT units and external vendors/service providers. The organization support two production area of BRD; AP and FP. In this unit, colleagues are divided into 7 teams handling IT Support, Compliance and Projects. All departments collaborate to unite IT & automation across BRD sites and facilitate cross-organizational synergies.
