This role will report to the Head of Medical Affairs and will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Please note that this position is for a 2 years fixed-term contract.

 

The position

As a Medical Affairs Admin Assistant at Novo Nordisk, your primary responsibilities include administrative coordination and integration, cross-functional collaboration and support, and event and meeting coordination. This support is crucial in enabling them to concentrate on achieving their business objectives.

Your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Coordinate and integrate diverse administrative functions within the department/area and ensure smooth calendar management, travel organization, and seminar coordination
  • Actively participate in cross-functional tasks and activities across the department/area, collaborate with stakeholders on annual processes, budget tasks, and HR activities and support relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, in their administrative needs
  • Take responsibility for arranging area/department events and meetings, coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure effective communication among team members and assist in the structure and organization of meetings, ensuring efficient use of time
  • Participate in defined project tasks within the area, providing administrative support as needed
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and optimal collaboration within the administrative team

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or support roles, high school diploma or equivalent is required and additional certification or training in office administration or a related field is preferred.

To be effective in this role you need to have:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
