The position 

Are you ready to take up a new challenge and be responsible for procurement in one of our growing business areas? If so, then this opportunity might be right for you. Join our UK Procurement Team sitting within Finance & Operations! 

 

In this role you will be a business partner to key stakeholders in UK affiliate and manage indirect sourcing spend across a range of different categories.  

 

This is a fixed term contract of 12 Months, Hybrid with 2 days at the office on a weekly basis.  

 

Additionally you will:  

  • Execute sourcing activities and build procurement pipeline based on the budgets, spend analyses 

  • Act as a business partner to support the business objectives and work with preferred suppliers, ensuring diversity and innovation  

  • Operationalise procurement policy across the UK Business Area, fostering strong compliance 

  • Train and support end-users on the appropriate procurement processes 

  • Communicate procurement’s purpose and value to senior stakeholders  

  • Support cross-affiliate procurement projects 

 

You will also play an active role in assessing business needs, applying global category strategies, drive supplier relationship management while executing on sourcing projects all aiming to acquire the highest quality of goods/services at the best possible terms, prices, innovation, and sustainability. All with a strong focus on compliance with internal and external regulations, including ethical and legal guidelines. 

 

Qualifications 

To be successful in this role we imagine that you have:  

  • A Degree in e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Law, Supply Chain Management, CIPS or similar 

  • Some experience working with sourcing, category management, supply chain in an international organisation 

  • An analytical mindset, a robust set of sourcing tools, comprehension of the procurement-to-pay process, and the capacity to construct and implement a procurement pipeline are essential. Experience in change management and adeptness in managing senior stakeholders, coupled with the ability to influence without direct authority, are also crucial requirements 

  • Effective communication to senior stakeholders and across the organisation in English 

 

About the department 

As a Procurement Specialist you will report to UK Procurement & Event Operations Manager and be based out of the Gatwick office located just 40 minutes south of London.  

The well-established Procurement team sit within Finance & Operations.  We are a diverse team, which includes Accounting; Taxation; Business Financing, Analytics & Pricing; Supply Chain; Financial Compliance and Facilities Management.  We all drive competitive value creation by improving our business partnering efforts with line of business, strive for operational excellence in our processes and develop the capabilities needed for the future of our business.
