Position:

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing and constructing robust data infrastructure and systems to facilitate efficient data processing and analysis, enabling faster decision-making across Novo Nordisk. They play a critical role in supporting the growth, competitiveness, and innovation of the company by leveraging internal and external data to build scalable and reliable data pipelines and platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements innovative data engineering solutions and services, such as data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing, to address client requirements and business needs.
  • Explores and introduces new data driven approaches to generate business insights in order to address unanswered business problems. Expertly understands and incorporates data engineering best practices and keeps on top of emerging tools and practices
  • Leads data engineering projects, comprehends stakeholder requirements, and oversees data preparation activities to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Validates, clean, prepare and presents data to teammates and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with other Clinical Data Product team members to ensure overall integration of products and services. Contributes to completion of information analytics projects; participates in planning and coordination of projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred) in computer science, data science, pharmaceutical sciences, health informatics, information system/technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of data engineering experience, preferably using healthcare data
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms & tools required (AWS platform & services experience preferred)
  • Experience researching and implementing Data Pipeline for Machine Learning & Deep Learning models, also Agile product development experience is required
  • Proficiency in Linux and command line interfaces (CLI) required.
  • English and Spanish high level is required (written and spoken).
