About the department
This position will be assigned to the Obesity Business Unit and will report directly to the Senior Director of Patient Engagement & New Business Model department (PENB). While Obesity is a disease that can lead to health problems that are not currently being suffered from, this team is responsible for development of strategies to address the need for its treatment and continued treatment to prevent all the variety of possible health issues that can arise from being obese. This requires the skills and mindset to develop strategies from the end-user's perspective by collecting voice across a variety of channels.

The position 
As a Patient Support Solutions Manager, you are to generate the strategy and lead the development of the best approach to drive patient adherence and favourability towards Novo Nordisk Obesity portfolio, and analyse, identify and develop opportunities for adherence and aims to generate positive patients experience and positive word of mouth.
Some of your key activities will be to:

  • Lead patient experience and assists solutions by developing the adherence strategy through awareness of patient needs, identifying bottlenecks, in alignment with multiple stakeholders on the patient journey including payers, prescribers, nurses and pharmacies. Also, aid the medical team to develop relevant adherence training for HCPs (Health Care Professional).
  • Develops patient pathway projects and partnerships to drive adherence and implement patient educational activities, projects and events including new digital initiatives for adherence.
  • Ensure that the cross-functional team develops and implements methodical plans according to the adherence pillar of the patient journey.
  • Share best practice and leads other cross-functional or deliberate projects as required by the business including providing assistance and backup for peers.
  • Drive continuous-improvement mindset and proactive sharing of knowledge.

 

Qualifications

  • Innovative and flexible mindset to always question the status quo and try new ways, is essential.
  • Degree in life sciences, business, or healthcare is required.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience and deep awareness of the patient journey is required.
  • Project management experience is essential and cultural understanding of Japan and excellent communication skills in Japanese both verbal and written is necessary.
  • Fluency in English (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is a plus).
