The Position

As a Director of Medical Affairs and Medical Education at Novo Nordisk, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the medical strategy is in line with the IO strategy and executed as planned. In addition, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Leading medical affairs meetings and participating in medical/marketing working groups/projects to ensure the alignment of medical activities across the affiliate.
  • Supporting all medico marketing initiatives for the affiliate.
  • Proposing and initiating local medical activities to support the launch of new products.
  • Driving external publications/communications of local medical activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with company quality systems and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • A University Degree in a relevant area, such as an MD with MBBS degree in Lifesciences.
  • Minimum 12 years of medical affairs office or field-based experience, with experience in the metabolic area, CVD, Obesity, MASH.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management, communicating with impact, and business & industry understanding.
  • Strong technical expertise in medical affairs strategy and healthcare systems.
  • Ability to innovate in a changing environment and integrate scientific and business knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of drug development and life cycle management principles.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department at Novo Nordisk is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization. Medical affairs is anchored within CMR. From interactions with health care providers to developing and implementing medical strategies to drive medical education and generating insights to support evidence generation, medical affairs plays a vital role in launch of new products and life-cycle management of existing products.
