The Position

As a Senior Portfolio Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Manage and continuously improving the project portfolio for the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics, ensuring alignment with other portfolios across the organization.
  • Prepare and facilitate monthly portfolio reviews with the management team, providing updates on project progress, risks, and new opportunities.
  • Support project managers in strengthen the foundation for the excellent portfolio management, e.g. build business cases, define clear project KPIs, identify project dependencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and areas to ensure successful project outcomes and optimize supply chain processes.

 

As a Senior Portfolio Manager in Supply Chain Project Management Office, you will handle complex issues and make important decisions involving many key stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk organization. You will be highly involved, manage complexity and take initiative to continuously improve supply chain processes and stakeholder relationships. Through your strong analytical skills and innovative nature, you will drive improvement projects, exercise change management and systematic problem solving.

 

Qualifications

You are structured, innovative and driven by performing your tasks in a way that adds value and not necessarily in the way you are used to. You are willing to take responsibility for your own learning and ownership of your own tasks and to work as a team player to the benefit of the entire Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT) organization and the patients.

You have a proven ability to demonstrate stakeholder management skills enabling you to cooperate group-wide and to drive processes and you are persistent in your quest to understand risks and regulations, while you at the same time have the ability to connect the dots in light of the overall strategy, the direction of the company and industry dynamics.

The position requires an innovative and open mindset, well developed interpersonal skills and strong competences in communication, as you will work closely together with many different layers in the organization.

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • A relevant master’s degree e.g., in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or the like.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with portfolio management from a production company.
  • 3-4 years’ experience with project management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A background in supply chain and/or pharmaceuticals is an advantage, but not a requirement.

 

About the Department

You will be joining Supply Chain Business Support & Monitoring within Supply Chain. The unit is responsible for supporting our leadership teams with strategic supply/demand challenges as well as drive optimization projects supporting out production sites to deliver to plan.

You will become part of a team of highly skilled and driven colleagues with high engagement and focus on delivering strong results. We are a team consisting of different roles and profiles but with the same purpose of supporting our Supply Chain. We are working individually but as well together across projects. Coming into this new team you will have the opportunity to shape your own role and join a team with a diverse and inclusive mindset.

Business Support & Monitoring is a part of The Supply Chain Planning and Logistics department. We support the Supply Chain area, which is primarily based in Bagsværd, Denmark. Our team is dedicated to optimizing supply chain processes and ensuring efficient and scalable operations. We work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to drive successful project outcomes and deliver value to Novo Nordisk and our patients.
