Do you want to play an essential role in ensuring Novo Nordisk is ready for the new EU taxonomy reporting requirements? Do you strive for excellence and at the same time not afraid to embark on a data and analytics journey ‘into uncharted territory’? If so, then you might be our new Senior Environmental Reporting analyst working as part of the Analytics and Reporting team of PSQIT Sustainability at Novo Nordisk.

 

The position

We offer an exciting and challenging role where you will play a significant role in ensuring EU taxonomy alignment in PSQIT, hereby positioning Novo Nordisk as a sustainability leader among investors, regulators, and other external stakeholders. The Environmental reporting landscape and regulatory space is currently undergoing a revolution – where new requirements such as the CSRD and EU Taxonomy are being introduced and Novo Nordisk is currently experiencing significant growth and is expanding its production capacity across the global manufacturing network. A specific focus will be to ensure that construction of new buildings will be EU taxonomy aligned and implement a standard approach on how to document alignment.

 

As part of the Analytics and Reporting team, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Design and lead the progress of key elements within the EU taxonomy:

o 7.1 Construction of new buildings

o 7.2 Renovation of existing buildings

• Together with the EU taxonomy team, develop the EU taxonomy alignment processes and standards, including setting up internal controls.

• Together with stakeholders across PSQIT, identify and address EU taxonomy alignment gaps.

• Secure and support audit readiness of EU taxonomy data and liaise with internal and external auditors.

• Support the digital agenda of PSQIT Sustainability as well as consolidate and propose possible digital solutions and data software tools to ensure optimal data entries and analyses.

 

Qualifications

The right candidate should have the following skills:

• Have experience leading and setting direction within environmental sustainability, ESG reporting or reporting directives (i.e. EU Taxonomy, CSRD, GHG protocol, SBTi, etc.) preferably from a pharmaceutical perspective.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree related to Environmental/sustainable engineering, Data analytics, Data Science, Management or similar.

• Translational skills building frameworks and design solutions on very little to no background guidance and at the same keep the overview and holistic approach to environmental reporting.

• Proven track record (+3 years) of preparing, analyzing, and designing data metrics (either by the use of scientifical approaches or analytical solutions) within the space of sustainability.

• Good communication skills in English and ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels

About the department

The Analytics and Reporting team is part of the PSQIT Sustainability department and is anchored within the Product Supply, Quality, and IT organisation of Novo Nordisk. The team

has embarked on the journey of reducing the environmental footprint by using data and digital solutions to support decisions. The team is among other things responsible for the reporting of energy, water, waste, refrigerants, and CO2 emissions from distribution as well as developing state-of-the-art solutions to support therein. The team consists of highly skilled data analysts and scientists as well as business analysts who drive data analysis, insights, and intelligence on the environmental sustainability agenda for our expanding production sites. Finally, Data and Analytics are owning the translation as well as execution of related metrics from the CSRD as well as the EU Taxonomy. At current the team is comprised of 15 people in HQ Bagsværd and 3 colleagues in Bangalore, India. We work closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to implement the Circular for Zero environmental strategy into Novo Nordisk production thus supporting our overall ambition to have zero environmental impact.
