The position
As a Legal intern, you will be part of a team that handles the whole negotiation and contract drafting process. You will join our Negotiation & Contract Management Centre of Excellence department, reporting to the Senior Manager. We are a dedicated group of 12 people with strong experience in running tenders and negotiating and drafting high-profile contracts. We drive projects across our global organisation as partners to the Category Managers and the management team in Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices.
Your responsibilities are included but are not limited to:

  • Being involved with extensive legal reviews and real-time drafting of legal documents and contracts
  • Managing digital management of contracts, and working closely together with our colleagues from Global Legal
  • Supporting administrative tasks and contributing to optimizing and developing our internal routines and processes

Practicalities

  • Internship period: 6 months (with the extension possibility of 6 months) 
  • Working hours: 18-37 hours per week (with the flexibility within the exam period)
  • Start date: 1 August 2024
  • Location: Bagsværd; Denmark
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows.
  • Full-time Danish work permit is required 

Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to sit in and experience negotiations with Novo Nordisk’s suppliers. We encourage you to set ambitious goals within contract drafting and negotiations while being a legal intern with us.

 

Qualifications
You are a Student currently pursuing a Law or Commercial Law study directions in the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Ideally, you have at least a year and a half remaining of your studies with a strong interest in negotiation, contract drafting and management, and sourcing in a global pharma company.
To succeed in this role, you have: 

  • A great ability at drafting contractual language and analysing contracts
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to take responsibilities 
  • Fluency in both oral and written English

Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and experience with IT Contract Management systems is an advantage but not a requirement. 
As a person, you are an outgoing individual with a strong personal drive and dedication, and able to bring a can-do attitude. You thrive in a busy environment and, have a good sense of humour.

 

About The Department
Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are commercially responsible for our award-winning and robust supply chain to safeguard Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. We are the commercial sourcing partner for manufacturing and distribution. Through collaboration with our global supplier network, we ensure the availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to better live with chronic diseases.
The department is a Centre of Excellence within negotiation and the team drives all key negotiations and contractual processes within Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices together with the category owners. The team is also responsible for negotiation training to the organisation. You will join a team of experienced lawyers as well as negotiation and sourcing professionals who will help you get the training and onboarding you need to become successful in the role.
